Global Generation had a great day at the Camden Green Fair, sharing a table with the Camden Environmental Education Network and Paul "the worm man". The fair has certainly grown in size and shape and it was good to meet so many people who were keen to learn about how to be greener rather than just those who are long-term environmentalists. We were giving away free indoor sprouting seeds as an invitation to London Festival of Archecture's Continuous Picnic on 5 July and G.G.'s rooftop allotment tours on the evenings of 3 & 4 July (check out the G.G. website for more information). If you are running an event that you would like Global Generation's attendance, please let us know.
Hello Global GenerationWe had a beautiful weekend at Pertwood Farm with the Somali Families Meeting Point last weekend. Not only did we enjoy ourselves despite the pouring rain, we manasged to go on walks and do woodworking workshops and creative drawing. We sat in the stone circle for a picnic and after walking for alomost an hour we paddled in the stream and as a suprise we were brought chocolate cakes by the woman who owned the land! wow thanks a lot for that.We were 18 altogether, all girls age ranging between 8 yrs and 20yrs two mothers Loukia and myself and two brave men! Oh and Ejiro of course, our seasoned 6 year old who has camped with us since he was 2 years old. All the girls produced beautiful art work so look out for this on the Global Generation Website soon along with photographs of the weekend and a few diary entries.
