It’s time to say bye bye to those summertime lunches on the wetland and evenings on the decking and hello fires, warming winter feasts and nighttime revelry, writes Global Generation's Events Coordinator Gwen Mainwaring. We’re embracing the shorter nights with a series of events celebrating winter foods, winter gardening and winter warmth. Queue open fires, pretty lights and cosy intimate gatherings around the dinner table.
Kicking off our nighttime eatery are Erin and Jo who will be bringing a hint of spice to the table with a 3 course menu inspired by Persia paired with some Eastend homebrews. Wander around the garden at night before taking your seat in the Sky Room with views over the King’s Cross pond and beyond. And for those more in the mood for something festive, we’ll be running supper clubs and private dining from 10th November - 15th December. All you need to do is pick your menu, pick your date and pop it in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Not sure what a garden could possibly have to offer in the winter? Well come and find out. We’re throwing open the garden gates on Thursday 12th November for Go Green for Global Generation . This will be an opportunity to come and see what the garden has to offer this winter, meet the people who run the Skip Garden, partake in some taster workshops or simply warm your toes around the fire and take a moment to be. Activities will run from 12pm - 6pm.
Activities will include:
- Garden tours
- Collecting wildflower seeds and learn about how to support bees in the city
- Making your own pizza from a wood fired oven
- Gardening tips and activities for the winter months
