We are a small team but do have job opportunities from time to time, which we will post here as well as on our social media channels and newsletter, so please sign up to keep up to date.

We regularly have internship opportunities.  We give you a chance to learn through doing and help you reflect on your learning as well as provide networking opportunities.  We provide internships with the garden team around horticulture and growing in urban spaces;  with the chefs in the kitchen to help cook and run our vegetarian cafe and events;  with the youth team to work alongside young people; as well as opportunities to work with the office team to gain experience of running a charity.

Summer is a busy time for us with many events in the garden and beyond. We are looking for bright, talented and friendly event chefs to help us execute our events to the highest standards. You could be taking the food bike out to events around King's Cross, catering for weddings, private dining and summer parties. If you are a confident cook with prior experience of working in a busy kitchen come join us!

MARKETING AND EVENTS INTERN 

We’re on the lookout for an Events and Marketing Intern to help us in an exciting time of growth. Our garden and Skip Garden Kitchen are situated in the heart of the King’s Cross development and attracting an increasing amount of interest from businesses and individuals alike. In this role, you will help with the planning and preparation of our events, from workshops and away days to summer parties and weddings. cafe apprentice

We’re on the lookout for an Apprentice to help us in an exciting time of growth, in which our garden, café and events space are becoming increasingly popular. The apprenticeship is designed to immerse you in all aspects of running our Café.  You will get to take part in all aspects of our work - from picking fresh herbs, flowers and vegetables from the garden to use in our freshly prepared salads, to pulling the perfect espresso.  You will join our team in offering excellent service to customers in the cafe, garden and when selling from our street food bike. 

This a 12-18 month practical training course resulting in an Level 2 Apprenticeship in Hospitality Services from Westminster Kingsway College. It will require attending College for one day a week, with the other 4 days of the week spent in the Skip Garden Cafe. Full JD and how to apply...

kitchen intern

Are you interested in cooking, urban agriculture  and working with young people to help them play a part in creating a sustainable future? Global Generation seeks a Kitchen Intern to support our Head Chef and Junior Chef. The Kitchen Intern will work alongside the chefs, young people and volunteers in the preparation and serving of food for an exciting variety of events. The Kitchen Intern will also be expected to help with all aspects of running the kitchen - the ordering and organising of stock, the cleaning of the kitchen, and ensuring that health, safety and hygiene rules are adhered to.
