Friday Night Out is our partnership project, funded by Islington Giving, Argent and the Arsenal Foundation. It was set up to provide children and young people in the local area the opportunity to play sports on the King’s Cross pitch coached by Arsenal in the Community, and then, on a fortnightly basis, to learn cooking and healthy eating skills with us at the Skip Garden. By doing so, Friday Night Out supports children and young people to develop healthier attitudes to food and exercise, enabling them to build their skills as well as their confidence and sense of ownership for the decisions they make, particularly about the foods they choose to eat and the activities they participate in.Read More
Friday Night Out is a project for 11- to 14-year-olds, combining football, cooking and other activities, all taking place right in the heart of King's Cross. Arsenal in the Community and Global Generation have teamed up to run this project, supported by the Arsenal Foundation, Argent and Islington Giving.
Local young people are invited to come play football in Kings Cross every Friday with Arsenal FC for free.
Then fortnightly, after football, the young people would join Global Generation to learn to cook food that tastes great and is good for them, to eat together in the Skip Garden.Read More
