education & Community gardener
Dexter has always been involved in growing food, from helping in his mum’s garden at home to working on his University allotment and volunteering at community gardens across London. Since he was young, Dexter has campaigned around issues relating to climate change and coupled with his love of gardening he soon became interested in conservation and permaculture growing practices.
Dexter would describe himself as a lifelong learner and even though he decided to withdraw from a PhD in Synthetic Chemistry, learning is still a huge part of his life. Whilst on a training programme at London Wildlife Trust he discovered a passion for delivering educational workshops to young people in the outdoor environment. This led to him discovering Global Generation where he is now a Community and Education gardener at the Paper Garden and Regents Place.
