Good Morning at The Skip Garden

The garden is known as a garden of a thousand hands. Hands that helped us build the ingenious quirky structures which house our plants, hands that help us keep those plants watered and growing, hands (and minds) that populate the garden with their ideas, expertise and crafts. 

In our garden we like to sow the seeds that feed body and soul and we like to do this collectively with anyone who is wanting to share their knowledge and expertise or simply their time. We are firm believers in doing good to feel good and invite you all to join some of our gardeners, chefs, young people, story-tellers and yogis to enjoy a morning of feeling good in our urban oasis of calm. Activities will include: 

  • 9am - Yoga class with Sarah Hunt (£5 - adv booking recommended, mats can be provided, to book email 

Sarah is a yoga teacher and holistic nutritionist based in central London.  Sarah's classes are a unique blend that take influence from vinyasa flow yoga.  Her creative and upbeat style to yoga is designed to strengthen, cleanse and tone your entire body.  Powerful and dynamic sequences encourage vitality and rejuvenation, balanced with slower and more mindful poses, leaving your body and mind in a relaxed and exhilarated state.

  • 10am - 12pm - Introduction to mindfulness with Ariadne Kapsali (drop-in - pay what you feel) 

Ariadne runs yoga and meditation classes in the garden. Today she will be leading short introductions to meditation and mindfulness in our lovely glasshouse lantern. These will last 15 - 20mins

  • 10 am -10.45am - Gardening workshops with Robyn 

Join our community gardener Robyn for a spot of gardening amongst the rubble and skips.

Entry to the garden is free. Our cafe will be serving lovely healthy breakfasts from 10am. Local young people will be hosting tours and a stall selling homemade jams, and King's Cross honey.
