Veggie Sushi class with Head Chef Nick

Learn to make your own sushi with the Skip Garden! Sushi has a reputation for being difficult to make at home, but with a little guidance and practice, anyone can put together a delicious sushi meal with a minimum of fuss. Nor is there any need for fish! There are loads of yummy, healthy vegetarian (and vegan) options, and we’ll prepare our sushi with fresh, organic veggies from the garden and beyond. Chef Nick learned his sushi skills from Rico Venzon (Executive Head Chef at Kurumaya, London). Nick has many years of experience in sushi bars and ran sushi specialist event catering outfit OiSushi from 2006-2009.

The Skip Garden Veggie Sushi Class will teach you all the basics of sushi preparation, from cooking and seasoning the sushi rice, to preparing your mise-en-place (or "maki-mono") and putting it all together in beautiful maki rolls, temaki hand rolls and nigiri. Then we’ll all sit down together and feast on your scrumptious sushi (with a complementary sake and a refreshing green tea ice cream to finish it all off). The class will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge you need to start preparing sushi at home. With a little practice, you'll soon be able to whip up a wonderful sushi feast at the drop of a hat!

This class will last approximately 3 hours and is limited to 10 participants. Click here to book your spot at the table.
