retreats at
pertwood
organic farm

Global Generation has been running retreats at our campsite, set in a beautiful hawthorne copse on Pertwood Organic Farm in Wilthshire, since 2004. It’s not quite glamping but we do have a working kitchen, a yurt, covered spaces, running water, ‘compost loos’ and tents for sleeping. Retreats at Pertwood enable us to step away from our city lives and to find our way into a new perspective, letting go for our everyday pressures and reconnecting with a deeper part of ourselves, others around us and the wider natural world. As with all of our work, at Pertwood we combine hands on doing with silence, stillness and time for reflection. We go on early morning silent walks, work on the land, collect wood, build fires, tell stories, do guided meditations, qi gung, cook together and run group activities depending on the focus of the retreat, which could be around topics such as sustainability, leadership, team building, silence and values.

Pertwood Organic Farm is easy to get to. From London it is 2 hours on the train followed by a 20 minute car journey.

We found Pertwood a fantastic place to hold our Nature Quest retreat. There is something very peaceful and generative about the place, and it has just the right balance of wild on the one hand and cared for on the other. Our group loved the whole experience. We are looking forward to hosting more programmes there in 2015 and beyond.
