Impact and SUPPORTERS
Our impact
Every year we work with around 5,000 children, young people and their families directly in our gardens in Camden, Islington and Southwark, and reach a further 5,000 through outreach and events. Through participating, people build their confidence, learn skills, form new friendships and develop practical ways to have a positive impact on the world around them.

Past Projects
Voices of the eartH
A year‑long programme funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund and in collaboration with Complicité Theatre, the British Library, LB Camden, and Hopscotch. During the project, children, young people, and community members explored the healing, cultural, mythological, and environmental dimensions of seven plants. Each plant was captured by audio pieces, storytelling, sound design, nature walks and photography reflecting personal, historical, and symbolic narratives
SEEDS FOR A BETTER WORLD
Was delivered in collaboration with the London Freedom Seed Bank and funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund. By addressing the urgent loss of biodiversity and exploring seed sovereignty , the project empowered young participants ( Seed Sisters) through training in seed saving practices, oral history, and community heritage.
STAY AT HOME GARDEN
Was a magazine created as the result of an emergency, a creative response to the Pandemic. Global Generation was able to bring nature in people’s homes and support Earth connections despite the lock down by sharing gardening, foraging, cooking and creative knowledge.
voices of the water
A two years-long project inspired by two local waterways—the hidden River Fleet and Regent’s Canal. Through their complex history, the project invited Partecipants and particularly young Fellows, to explore the cultural, historical, mythological, scientific, and personal importance of water in their lives
SUPPORTERS
Our work is generously supported by a wide range of local and national trusts, foundations, businesses and individuals, without whom our work would not be possible.
Some of our many supporters include:

“Global Generation produces havens that bring people together and inspire a feeling of peace in busy and chaotic urban environments. Since we’ve moved into the Somers Town neighbourhood, we’ve loved collaborating on projects. We can’t wait to work on other neighborhood projects together in coming years.”
Businesses
We’ve partnered with a wide range of businesses, local and national, who have each helped play a part in making our community work possible.

“Many different people are coming together and realising our mistakes and trying to make a change. What I can take away from this is to begin to take action, since it does not matter how old or young you are, your voice can be heard.”
