Are you interested in working with natural materials and developing building skills?

What does sustainable building look like? How can we construct in an environmentally and socially responsible way? Experience this in-person at the new Story Garden, where community building and sustainable architecture are put into practice.

Start the day with a tour of our unique community garden, transformed from a former brownfield landscape into an inspiring educational space where buildings made from mud, clay and timber.

We will learn about CobBauge walls, handmade bricks, cladding with chestnut tiles and the creative use of materials across the site. All before turning our own hands to sustainable making with clay and coppiced timber – spending the afternoon contributing building elements to the project.

A free, vegetarian lunch will be provided with vegan option. Please inform RIBA Learning of any dietary requirements when you register.
