The 2025 growing season is the last one at the Story Garden site on Ossulston Street. After six years, the garden is moving to it's new permanent home on York Way and construction will begin on the British Library Extension. The garden will remain open as normal until its final day on September 27, 2025.
What happens to the programmes and activities?
Our (Global Generation’s) programmes will run as normal until our September closure and then will pause before moving to our new site. Keep in the loop by attending events this summer.
The Make Space* located in Story Garden will continue to run programming until the end of July with much of the equipment at the Make Space then being relocated to the Community Climate Learning Hub at STCA. For more details about how you can continue to use this equipment and to find out about upcoming events at the Living Centre and at the Somers Town Community Centre click on to Calendar - Somerstown and Home - Living Centre
Everyone at STCA and the Living Centre would like to also take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the Make Space from design, inception to delivery and use. It has been an amazing journey so far and we are forever grateful to all those that made it happen and have worked tirelessly to make the Make Space the special place it has been and we look forward to the next chapter. Thank you for all your support.
*Make Space is a creative collaboration space in Somers Town and St Pancras, managed by the Somers Town Community Association (STCA) and The Living Centre, in partnership with Central Saint Martins.
