Fran

Fran is a gardener, educator and artist with a long-standing interest in how plants, people and creativity intersect in urban environments. With a background in community development, horticulture and landscape architecture, she is passionate about supporting others to garden for wellbeing, resilience and connection to nature.

Fran has worked across community gardens, education settings and therapeutic outdoor spaces, often with people of all ages and abilities, and brings a thoughtful, inclusive approach to growing and learning. Alongside her horticultural practice, she is a practising artist and potter, and enjoys exploring ecology through craft, making and storytelling.

At Global Generation, Fran is Head of Gardens, where she supports the care, development and learning programmes across the organisation’s gardens, working closely with staff, communities and partners to ensure the spaces are welcoming, sustainable and inspiring.
