Community and education gardener

I grew up in Suffolk, where I was incredibly lucky to be surrounded by nature and greenery. My Grandpa, a willow fence maker, passionate gardener and farmer, taught me and my siblings from a very young age how to engage with the natural world, grow vegetables and connect with the land.
After three years of teaching in a primary school in Brighton, I felt a strong pull back to the world of plants, a passion that first rooted in my childhood. During the pandemic, I began restoring a garden in our school playground with the children and growing my own food at home. It was then that I realised that I wanted to combine all of this together, to educate children and connect them to our planet.
I'm particularly interested in working with communities and groups that have little access to nature. Having seen the positive impact of the natural world on myself and others, I am very passionate about creating opportunities for people of all walks of life to engage with the outdoors and develop a personal connection to the environment.
I am incredibly excited and lucky to now be part of Global Generation, learning more and more everyday about the power of people and plants!
