Mprof in Community Based Regeneration

This is a two-year action-research based Master for mid-career professionals, who are wanting to reflect on and develop their own practice whilst leading on a socially and or environmentally responsible initiative.  We welcome the opportunity this programme brings, to learn with others, to support great projects and to tell authentic and meaningful stories about good practice.

Each cohort will have 9 participants, who are already working in the broad field of Community Based Regeneration. Participatory leadership, organisational development and appreciating different worldviews will be a central component which in turn will help create conditions for change in the wider community. Beginning in May 2018, the programme is attracting a diverse range of participants from the not for profit sector, business and local government, with a wide range of life and professional experience.

Outline of Benefits

“After several years of leading on key aspects of social regeneration I am excited to join the first Mprof cohort. I know that linear thinking and top down programmes cannot deliver the results that are needed in the world today.  I am already good at challenging assumptions and operating with uncertainty but there is a lot that I still need to develop, such as inclusive practices that work for colleagues and for communities.  I see the Mprof as opening up the space for me to do that.” - Lela Kogbara – Former Assistant Chief Executive at Islington Council and participant in the first Mprof Cohort, due to start in May 2018
