Young People and a River: Across the globe

Inspired by many years of being part of Global Generation Jane Riddiford and Rod Sugden set up a rural Aotearoa, New Zealand version of Global Generation.

Through conservation, arts, and community, they are are helping their community restore the Ruamāhanga River which is a vital artery of the Wairarapa valley. Like Global Generation, children and young people are very much the heart beat of all they are doing… with their hands , their hearts and their voices.

They would now love participation from people near and far in helping their vision of a living model of regenerative education and bio-regional restoration happen. Over the coming year they have lots of exciting plans; more wetland and riparian areas planted, more schools involved, more public listening post walkways along with outdoor celebrations and performances .

They are participating in Ma Earth's funding round, which means any size donation will be matched and amplified through their innovative quadratic funding model. Rather than amounts given it is the number of people who participate that counts . The more people who support them  (even very small amounts) the more matching funding the project receives.

The next step and to contribute is to visit their project page here.

A poster explaining that the foundation are raising funds and how to contribute to the project.
